A PROBLEM SOLVER

About Me.

Jason is a Maine native from Biddeford who has always appreciated everything his home state has to offer. His love for graphic design and photography began when he first encountered the iconic “I Love New York” logo, designed in 1976 by the legendary graphic designer Milton Glaser. The simplicity of the design, yet its global reach, deeply resonated with him. He is also inspired by Ansel Adams stunning landscape photography, which captures a unique moment in time. One of Jason’s favorite quotes from Adams is, “There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.”

Those who know him often highlight his sharp eye for detail. If something’s out of place, he’ll spot it right away. His design style is bold, clean and precise, allowing each project to clearly communicate its message. With a passion for creative problem-solving, he enjoys helping others through both design and informative solutions. Over the years, he has consistently taken on freelance projects, including an annual t-shirt design for the Senator George J. Mitchell Institute’s signature retreats.

He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Maine College of Art and an Associate Degree in Digital Media from York County Community College. In addition, Jason has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, a testament to his commitment and discipline.

Outside of work, Jason can often be found enjoying the outdoors, hiking Maine’s mountains or running on its trails, participating in road and trail races and consistently training for his next challenge. He loves experimenting with new meal prep ideas and staying active, whether through the gym or his outdoor activities. His passion for traveling to new places keeps him constantly planning his next journey. Above all, he loves the Red Sox and makes sure to catch the games whenever he can.

Jason has shared his graphic design talents with the Mitchell Institute for over 10 years, creating a custom t-shirt design for one of our signature retreats annually. His work is always creative, weaving together strong imagery and fun fonts, and he does a fantastic job of keeping the designs fresh, polished, and exciting for the 60+ Mitchell Scholars who wear the shirts proudly. Jason is open to suggestions, timely,
and easy to work with. I am happy to recommend his graphic design skills to anyone.

Jason was wonderful to work with, and his design work is excellent!
As an intern, he was reliable and always willing to jump in and help as projects evolved and opportunities arose.
We continue to hire him for projects.

Jason is an extremely talented graphic designer who was able to effectively manage a large workload while with the Portland Pirates. Jason was responsible for producing all our ads for news media, including the Portland Press Herald, and did so without any reminders.
His work is extremely high quality and detailed, and he is able to take criticism and critiques very well.
Jason's work is top quality and I could not recommend him more highly.
